Singer/Songwriter Mark Berney was living in Montana, working as a bartender and card dealer.

There he met a fellow bartender from Catalina Island, California, just off the coast of Los Angeles.

Negotiations ensued.

Mark agreed to secure a Montana bartending job for his new friend in exchange for a bartending job on the Island.

Now Mark's a Catalina fixture, known for his expressive songwriting and raw emotional vocal performances.

Adventuring to Hollywood, Mark met music producer Tommy Reeves, whos numerous credits include; Music arrangement for Dick Clark and NBC Productions;produced a top ten single with TidalWave Recording Artist "PJ"; and has played with Artists Melissa Ethridge, Chaka Khan, Smokey Robinson and James Ingram.

They hit it off immediately and recorded Mark's debut CD, "Breaking Ground."

Mark's debut into "New Music Weekly", lists his first single "The One For Me", as #4 for Most added, and star trax by radio as having," strongest listner reaction", and 10th most added overall.
