Details:
Sumrrá borns in the summer of 2001, as an outcome of a succession of meetings between the three members in several jam sessions. From day one, a natural way of joining, creating and playing appears, so it would be fair to say that Sumrrá borns from chance, spontaneity, caprice...Sumrrá borns free, and remains free. It was also a matter of chance to be christened as Sumrrá and not any other way. Sumrrá could be Manuel Gutiérrez Trio, Xacobe Martínez Grupo or Luis Alberto Rodríguez Project, but it is Sumrrá: belonging to everyone and no one.Sumrrá has a debut album in the market, recorded in 2002 and edited as a self-titled by the Compostelanean record label Madame Sir in 2003. In 2006, their sophomore work came out: â2â. Sumrrá works basically with original material, which implies that the band is inmersed in a constant feedback creation process: from composition to performance, from this to that, from recording to live performance. Oftentimes, you have only to see how things grown by itself, without any necessary interference.
Sumrrá are Manuel Gutiérrez, piano, Xacobe Martínez, bass and L.A.R. Legido, drums.
