Seth Boulton
Where did it all begin?
When Seth was a freshman in high school in rural North Carolina, he talked his dad into buying him a Peavey Tracer and a 110 amp. From there, he started learning chords and writing lyrics, as well as assembling and joining bands. Since then, he's been playing every venue from coffee shops and churches to bars and festivals. Now, he writes and performs as a solo artist with accompaniment on cello from fellow performing artist, Nicolette Emanuelle.
Where is it all going?
Seth wants to be the biggest rock star in the world. He doesn't gage his success by popularity or monetary income, but that is the goal and he's rather unapologetic and matter-of-fact about his ambition. He believes in his music and his message and he sincerely wants to see it prosper and grow and reach as many listeners as it possibly can.
Why?
Because Seth believes that music is his way of helping a world searching for answers. For him, music is a universal uniting force that crosses the barriers of race, religion, and politics and when people want to come together and agree, that's when the answers we're all looking for can be found.
Nicolette Emanuelle
When did it all begin?
When Nicolette was in the 4th grade, the Cello was her weapon of choice because it was the biggest instrument in the orchestra. As she grew, her appreciation for the instrument matured beyond its mere size and before long she was playing with a symphony and a middle-eastern dance music trio known as The Gypsies. Nicolette has performed everywhere from coffee shops to art gallery openings and currently works full time as a musician. She is also head of booking and promotions for Seth Boulton.
Where is it all going?
In high school, Nicolette channeled her passion through many artistic expressions writing songs and poetry , singing and playing guitar. One day she put down the guitar and tried her hand at piano and the love affair began. She excelled at the instrument without any formal training. Now, Nicolette performs her own vibrant, soulful, and passionate original songs on the piano as well as contributing her talents on Cello to the fullness and body of Seth Boulton's melodic, powerful live performances.
Why?
If you ask Nicolette why she's a musician she will say it is simply because something inside of her pushes her to write and perform. It is this unexplainable energy from within that has taken her on the continuing musical journey that is her life. Although at times the life of a performing artist can be unpredictable, even unstable, Nicolette seems to welcome this challenge with open arms. She feels it is her true calling and finds fulfillment and purpose as she searches for a unique style and sound in her own music as well as assisting others in theirs.
An eclectic mix of acoustic rock, soaring melody, break up ballads and creeping anthems, Seth Boulton captures the heart of the insightful singer/songwriter with the passion of a rock-n-roll front man. With the addition of cello by Nicolette Emanuelle, songs like 'Amanda' glide effortlessly into the desperation of love sickness while other masterpieces like 'Boogie Man' offer the listener a haunting image of a charismatic cult leader while the music romps with a sinister swing that is sure to infect even the most jaded critics of acoustic guitar rock. The mix of vocals, cello and guitar is nothing short of genius and gives the body of a full band complete with bright lights and a big stage with the intimacy of a street performer banging out three chords and the truth for spare change.
