Sabotage is my new album.

Starting out as the singer/guitarist for Noisy Punk/pop band Garlic Frog Diet (2 albums, released on FNAC/Semetary Records, a major french label), Based in Lyon, France, then decided to develop my own material under the name of Severin24 using electronic tools but keeping my signature energy and using my stage experience from many years of performing.
I use to tour regularly in Europe and the US.
As producer, I have also done some remix and collaboration for people like Robert Koch(Kitty-Yo rec.-Berlin), Nous Non Plus(Aeronaut rec.-NYC), Deviationist(Bip-Hop rec.), Buzz...


« Sabotage » was written and recorded during one year in different places, Lyon, Minneapolis, Chicago...
This album is influenced by meeting with people and artists, from different language and culture.
The musical language is the main language to understand each other..

Why the name is Sabotage?
Because watching the news on TV, I feel like we could live in the cool and peacefull world helping each other..some people will say that I'm an utopist, but why it's necessary to hate each other...
So, I think that humans organize a big  « Sabotage » on this planet..a shame..
I like to read, to share and understand the different cultures, cause I think to understand the others is a priority for the humans if we want to live together in peace....yep, I'm a dreamer..but, just think about..

The songs are not recorded in a big studio, the new technology gives me the opportunity to travel with my laptop, a synthe and a mic...I use instruments I find in the place,I'm...The sound is not huge, Hi-fi blast powerfull and commercial, my taste drove me to Low-Fi, gentle and tiny sounds with simple melodies...it's my signature..I like to work like if I was doing some small sculptures..small details are important.

Two part in this album:
The first 10 songs, I will say, basic songs, and the second part, the same songs revisited by others artists.
On the first part I have collaborated with artists like:
Kathy Compton on "Sabotage" has done the vocals..Kathy is a songstress singer based in Charlottesville, she has realized two albums, pop-jazz influenced, one was recorded with Suzanne Vega musicians.Kathy is a part of Panda Transport, my side pop electro project.
Aï Maeda has done the voices on scary hentaï and also inspired me to introduce some japanese arrangments in the song.
Aï was an icon of the « french touch » with Novos Navis in the 90's(Rosebud/Universal).
Ian Moore is my mate based in Chicago one of my headquater in the US.
He has played guitar and did the vocals on Sailor and Lulas, recorded in one night in his basement and after a show we have done together.
Travels inspired me for Cloudy dream written in a plane between two towns....I was so tired and sleepy looking at the clouds thru the plane window, you know this beautiful clouds looking like cotton .....

In the second part of the album, you will listen to the same songs revisited by artists, like
Kamido:tu(France), The Smagas(St2-Sao paulo-brazil), The Mystech(Omega point rec.-Chicago-USA), Johan Afterglow(Virgin-Sweden), Miss Fitz(Sushitek-Berlin-Germany), Nyaaano(Japan), Sunshine Dries(Linz-Austria), DJ Cerio(Lyon-France), mach Fox & lady Bonbon(Minneapolis-USA) and Suano Inami(Japan)..

The goal was to give theym the tracks and ask theym to redo the songs...
The styles are various from electro-punk, minimal, techno, ambient thru the terrific Nyaaano experimental and Glitchy mix(nope your CD player works well..no worry Nyaaano is an artist and has past hours to do this work and I like it ;-)))....
This experience was really rich and interesting..mixture of different styles and culture...

The design was done by the berliner artist Maayan Nidam.

Sure, you will not find here the new hit single, the super teaser which will blast the top ten.
The goal is to share my music with you, in a simple way and with sincerity....
