Serundalâs music strives to respect and preserve the traditional values of the Celtic peoples. As in the olden days when both young and old sat around the fire reciting old poems and legends, Serundalâs songs fuse timeless universal themes of birth, death, love and spirituality with 21st century concerns such as environmental issues and global warming. Musically too, traditional music sounds of pipes, fiddles and string instruments work hand in hand with contemporary instruments such as lead and bass electric guitars.

The vocals in Serundalâs music are also mixed with more emphasis on retaining the natural sound of the voice rejecting over-production or synthesis. Close harmonies are also an essential part of the music, once again drawing on the strengths and richness of traditional Celtic music.
