SERIN = Derived from the word Serendipity: a fortunate accident. Cut it in half you get Seren; misspell it you get SERIN. Serin is a high energy band with songs that speak of self empowerment, perseverance, and growth from all walks of life. Serin's debut album "Reflections of a Childlike..." is just that, self empowerment, perseverance, growth, and ultimately understanding new perspectives. You can't appreciate where you are in maturity and life until you understand where you've been. Currently Serin is working their follow up release expected to be titled "State of Change". Following the growth of the now quartet, has developed into something that will bring nothing less then true change. With an unparalleled alternative Rock/Metal sound straight out of the Garden State, Serin employs raw concepts, placing this groundbreaking band at the forefront of todays modern rock following. Serin brings together the talent of four unique individuals to create a sound like no other. The combination of Billys (vox) gritty and melodic voice, along with his profound lyrics, that speak truth of life lived thats inside us all. Jay (guit.) is a passionate studio and performing guitarist, always looking to awaken the tie that binds us all through his music, and evoke the true feeling that a once sacred "rock" once brought. Daichi, (bass) adds an unrivaled sound to Serin. He's a true, bassist that just gets what it is to be a bassist. He is an unselfish and very active writer, that is never satisfied with anything that is sub-par. Since his joining the band in late 2005 he has brought a new sense of balance to the band, and a new wind into the music. Rusty, (drums), another late addition to the line up brings an energy to the band that can only be described as a force of nature. His rock/metal beats make it possible for Serin to come together as a whole and put on the show that they do. This Jersey born and bred band came together in 2004 to form the musical powerhouse known as Serin.

The foundation of the band was built years ago. Barely acquaintances at the time, Billy and Jay met and had an impromptu jam session one night inside a coffee shop; there was an immediate connection between the two. They wasted no time in getting things started. The duo immediately began writing their debut material, while simultaneously hunting for the right members needed to create a full band lineup. Although the band was coming together, frustrations mounted as the duo was still in need of two integral members. These frustrations were alleviated however, when Billy and Jay ran into their future drummer Rusty at an area diner. The trio had a life altering meeting where they discussed the future of Rock in the suffocated tri-state area. After one studio session, the three members were in agreement. This was it; this band was going to happen and there was no turning back. The only factor still missing at this point was a worthy bass player. The guys auditioned bassist after bassist, until Daichi entered their world and completed the band. This passionate artist had spirit and ability far beyond his years. With all elements now in place, Serin was formed.
