Details:
Sean Doe is a diverse, multitalented artist with a fresh sound that is featured on his forthcoming album, Welcome Home.
Growing up in north-central Ohio, Sean started rapping at age 14 and appeared first in the recording studio at 17. A proclaimed student of hip-hop, some influences include Keith Murray, LL Cool J, Tupac, DMX and Outkast. Moving to LA in 1994, Sean attended West LA College on a basketball scholarship and during this time made numerous film and TV appearances such as Kazam, High School High, Escape from LA, The Fan, US Customs Classified and the 1996 Olympics Visa commercial, among many others. In 1997 Sean made his way to Atlanta where he plugged himself into the hip-hop scene and developed relationships with the Shakur family. This relationship later resulted in Sean's feature of Enemies of the State, written by incarcerated members of the Black Panthers. This song went on to be highly requested on Atlanta radio. Later, Sean moved to Texas in 1998 and within one year, signed to Top of the Line Records in Dallas. During his 4 year stay with Top of the Line, Sean recorded two full length albums under the name Kamikazi. These two albums, the freshman Lyrical Smoke and his follow up The Calm B4 the Storm, rooted Sean in the Texas hip-hop scene and earned him a vast fan base. Over the course of time, Sean also appeared in various videos such as Quint Black's Shake them Hatta's Off, Spice 1 featuring MC Eight's 1990sick and Michael Speak's I Specialize.
Now in 2004, Sean Doe is back home in central Ohio and ready to release his new album, Welcome Home, which features a diverse array of songs that will appeal commercially to the masses and to underground hip-hop heads alike.
