Bass-baritone Sergey Zadvorny is "among the rising stars of the international opera scene".

Upon graduation from a conservatory in his native Ukraine, he was trained in Italy by the legendary tenor Carlo Bergonzi.

Sergey is the winner of 11 international vocal competitions in Italy, France, Yugoslavia, Czechoslovakia, United States, and Russia, which is an unofficial Guinness World record among bass singers.

His operatic roles include performances at La Scala in Milan, the Opera Theater of Zurich, Teatro Communale in Bologna, Theatre Chatelet in Paris, the New York City Opera, Opera Theaters of Sacramento and San Francisco. He sang with such opera stars as Vincenzo La Scola, Mariella Devia, and others.

Among Sergey's latest achievements is his victory in the Classic Productions Competition for Voice in New York Carnegie Hall, 2002.
