About half of the songs in this album in one way or another refer to the city of Shiraz and its importance to the Baha'i dispensation. in 1844 in the city of Shiraz in Iran a man by the name of the Bab proclaimed that He was a Messenger of God Whose mission prepared humanity for the coming of Baháâuâlláh. The songs in this album are inspired by the poetry of Tahirih (who was among the first 18 people to believe in the Bab) and the poetry of Jonun who was among the early believers of the Baha'i Faith. Some songs refer to the poetry of other Persian poets (Hafez and Sohbat Lari) who also wrote about the importance of Shiraz during their lifetime which was well before 1844.
