Rannulf McCrae is my alter-ego! A weird shadow of a man who lives in a darkened recording studio, tinkering with samples, loops, bits and bobs.., This album was his work of secrecy, passion, angst, and desire. McCrae worked in the background of my regular life, recording songs that portrayed scenes that lovers might imagine, concocting tones and assembling patterns that could lead to dancing, performing studio trickery that could ignite the imagination of those who were finding life in the arms of a loved one!! The energy of this album is based on hot and insistent rhythms. The lyricism of the music is endemic to the hope for life and love beyond the normal. It's a wonderful album to share with a friend as you enjoy a nice meal and a bottle of your favorite beverage!!

There is one abberation... The song, "Wild Girls" was written and developed by Randy Creath while he worked with "The Whyld Girls" of Des Moines, IA. These "at risk" young women were learning the skills of building music from loops and voicing their own poetry to the magic of music! This song is included in Rannulf's album as a reminder that our children deserve our best! All proceeds from "Wild Girls" will go to support their continuing program of learning and growth!
