I really don't know what possessed me to cover this Queen classic. I had been thinking about doing their Fat Bottomed Girls for the longest time. I mean, who doesn't love Fat Bottomed Girls? But there we were going BOOM BOOM - TWACK! BOOM BOOM - TWACK! I lost track of how many tracks we recorded for the basic rhythm track. But it was probably over 100. We had all kinds of drums, claves, handclaps, thighs, beatboxes, each one recorded at least 6 times then mixed down. Then there were the vocals. That was fun. Really. We drafted some friends and family in to add some different voices. It was quite a scene as we made them record WE WILL ROCK YOU again and again. There will be some video up on YouTube of the chorus recording sessions. You should check it out.

Finally, there is the solo at the end. By now you have heard me play quitar and know that I can't do anything but whack on 6 strings. But I was determined to recreate Brian Mays classic solo. Hence the Harmonica. I am not much of harp player either, but I was able to figure something out and we got a pretty good representation of Brian Mays part in the end.
