"STEVE JONES FULL CIRCLE "E.P." is an impressive collection of upbeat contemporary songs that peg JONES as more than just a great cover artist."... WESTERN NEWS
this aural object d'art was started shortly before the gregorian odometer turned over, but those of you lucky enough to have missed the opening chapters of this tale, let me recap the story so far....
Take three bored musicians, a warm dry basement, and a few sunday get-togethers, combined with backyard barbecues, solder burns, curiosity, old friends, new friends, mutual back scratching, calling in favours, begging new favours, lost love, new found love, break-ups, make-ups, trial, tribulations, car accidents, tornadoes, pennies pinched, fortunes squandered, and throw in just about every thing else in between and voila, the next thing you know, there's something to listen to on the new style victrola...of course this endeavour would not have become a reality without the help of a supporting cast (co-conspirators all): Akapita Haupapa, who stopped by at the beginning to see what was going on, seemed to like it and returned to see it through (batting clean-up), Shawn Reynolds, who answered the call in our interim time of need, Allen Serwa for tinkling the imitation ivories, Mike Garding for those big lungs, Ric Johnston, for his production talents and wizardry with the digital scissors, Rob Dewar, for looking at it from a different perspective and helping to take the edge off when things got too close. Peter Draper, for taking some of us in out of the cold, Kirsi Johnston, for allowing us to abduct her husband's attention for far too long, and of course, Jane and Monika for just putting up with it all...... to all of you, if this brings you even half as many smiles as we've had putting it all together, you're in for one good time indeed. So, to sum it all up, this journey really has taken us "Full Circle". J.S.
