Montreal born recording artist, intrinsic rocker DANIELLE DUVAL gets set to launch âOF THE VALLEYâ.

Delivered by a magnetically gutsy voice; the music is old school, harmony driven pop, mixed with an early rock nâ roll sensibility. The live band delivers music that is at times dreamily melodic and at others driven to feverish crescendos, all within the same track.â An encapsulation of style and grit that harkens back to the likes of Patti Smith and Joan Jett, we hereby present you with a whole new approach that redefines the explosive girl rock era that took the world by storm and surprise in the 70s and 80s. DUVAL rips her Tele axe, sings from the deep depths, and composes melodic songs with artful lyrics that leave her audience with a story told.

DUVAL hit Toronto with the launch of her debut ep, Lâétranger, featuring the track "You're The One That I Want" which aired on David Duchovnyâs cult TV series âCalifornicationâ (Showtime/The Movie Network). DUVALâs heart-wrenching, slow-burn blues transformation of âGreaseâsâ bubble gum pop tune, also made it onto the showâs officially released soundtrack.

DUVAL then set aside her own penchant for recording and production to join forces with Zeus.
Followed by an epic lone road trip through the Mojave Desert, and a brief sojourn in Joshua Tree, California, DUVAL was scouted to break new ground in the studio with Carlin Nicholson and Mike OâBrien of Zeus (Arts&Crafts) at the production helm. The recording resulted in exciting musical contributions from The Golden Dogs, Bahamas, and a duet with Broken Social Sceneâs Jason Collett.

DUVALâs raw, emotive voice and undeniable talent have also been recognized and utilized by several Canadian Heavyweight Champs. She recently lent her pipes to an Emm Gryner production, sang on âBootleg Saintâ and âThe Resistanceâ off Sam Robertsâ Chemical City, Jason Collettâs âBitch Cityâ, and worked on her previous recordings with Canadian Pride; Greg Keelor (Blue Rodeo) and Jim Creeggan (Barenaked Ladies).

Many great stages have been home to DUVAL and her band. They recently delivered an incredible residency at Torontoâs hipster bar The Piston with local heroes Sam Cash (the name speaks for itself), and louCanon (produced by Hayden). Amazing times have also been had at Torontoâs Mod Club with Zeus and Matt Murphy (Superfriendz), Jason Collettâs Dakota Basement Review, The Horseshoe, Hillside, Canadian Music Week, NXNE, New Music West, and Pop Montreal.
