This song ' Children of men' is about or vaguely related to the recent London riots and then we wandered off into the world to see what other silliness men are doing to each other. It occured to me that the reason for this may be that we are mostly children and never really have time to grow up - hence us being generally and reliably so useless and reactionary. And we are mostly children because our parents were mostly children - right up to the end.

And sometimes some parents are literally children - because they think having a baby will be cool and will get them a free flat from the council; or they have no choice as their father has arranged with someone elses father for his child to marry another child, or a rich old man... Because the father has no sense and the old man is an old child that lusts after youth and doesn't realise that grownups can't always have what they want, because sometimes what they want is wrong. And Adults know that, but they are a dying breed...

Anyway re the author, me, nothing special to report there - a few books and poems and some songs and tours and weddings with other artists and musicians. I would however like to mention Trevor Blackman for his excellent video and Tim Palmer for his excellent production - plus a bit of musical input too on this one.

It's a good song; why not buy it and then I can give them both some richly deserved wages.
