Noémie studied 8 years with numerous vocal teachers. She perfected her craft with numerous musicals and singing competitions. After high school, she moved to Montreal and studied music at Vanier College. This is where she was introduced to classical vocal training. She admits that the lessons were arduous, but the end result made it all worth it.
Noémie started composing early in life but never really took it seriously. It is only in high school that she started to really explore her song writing abilities. She was intrigued by music softwareâs and the growing popularity of home studios. She slowly started building a home studio and in December 2005 she finally felt ready to record a full-length album; Nonsense
Her music is laid-back; a mixture of funky rhythms and melodic bass lines. Add to that her vocal dynamic range, Nonsense is a unique work of art.
