Details:
The Philadelphia area based band, Satori, emerged in the year of 2002. Their music could be described as a melodic blend of progressive metal & hardcore, but maintains a unique sound with an introspective tone. Leaning away from generic metal and hardcore, Satori wanted to express a new interpretation that was raw, melodic and consuming rhythmically... A sound that could inspire and move their audience at the same time.
In early 2004, after short-lived collaborations with a few different singers, founding members; guitarist - Jim Rogers, drummer - Kris Wood, and bassist - Jeff Pietrusko (formerly of 'Industrial Fate'), came together with former "Solum" vocalist Pete DiSabatino, whose energy and tenacity breathed new life into the bands music and stage presence, while opening new doors stylistically.
All members have been musicians since early on their lives and have been involved with a variety of ensembles and musical ventures, however, they all knew their true calling came when forming this outfit. With the new line-up intact, the gates were finally opened to the primeval chaos out of which the earth and sky themselves were formed.
Hailing members from 3 different states, the band has a distinct advantage attracting a fan base across the entire Delaware Valley. Satori went on to play and headline numerous venues in the Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey Tri-State area, gaining notoriety and building a solid fan base. Satori takes great pride in their live performances, insane stage presence and unearthly good looks. The band hopes to reach more and more fans of original music and other like-minded bands, wanting nothing more than to influence the direction of modern music as a whole in whatever way they can.
