Via Satellite are a London based band and have a sound best described as melodic indie rock. Their influences range from Razorlight, Guster, Oasis and Death Cab for Cutie through to the Beatles, Split Enz and Ben Kweller. They formed around September 2005 and have been playing gigs in and around London ever since. Via Satellite are comprised of Pete Duddles on guitar and voice, Aaron Columbus on bass and Dan Awbery on drums. The band released their debut single Birthday/So Excited on March 25th 2006. Via Satellite play an infectious brand of melodic indie rock with hooks and choruses that keep your toes tapping and ass shaking for days.
