Description:

(ID 1508170)
A project that creates slow, dense, atmospheric, and moving music that will immerse listeners in layers of sound.

14 MP3 Songs
ROCK: Psychedelic, ELECTRONIC: Ambient

Details:
Sans Arc is an ever-evolving New Jersey-based project that creates dense, emotional soundscapes that envelope listeners in waves of texture. With an emphasis on background atmospherics, layers of guitars (both electric and acoustic), programmed beats and electronic flourishes, Sans Arc forges a unique sound that is difficult to categorize. It has been called shoegaze, post-rock, emo, indie-rock and ambient in various reviews. Sans Arc has been compared to the following bands: Mogwai, Sigur Ros, Appleseed Cast, Radiohead, Hood, Slowdive, Cocteau Twins and Crooked Fingers.

Re-issued for The Gaia Project. This first full album consists of 14 tracks that are all interwoven and mixed to flow from one to the next in an effort to make it a more cohesive whole.

"Somber and self-sanctifying space music that lends itself so well to quasi-spirituality. This stands for reason, for in its streamlined purity and its oceanic waves of echoing sound, music like Sans Arc's can symbolize precisely what many want from religion -- a mesmerizing simplicity that coddles us with womb-like comfort."
