Description:

(ID 1508661)
Exploring the frontiers of music with a flucuating blend of rock, jazz, funk, classical, blues, reggae, electronic, psychedelic, and more.

15 MP3 Songs
ROCK: Progressive Rock, JAZZ: Jazz Fusion

Details:
Taking the listener on an eclectic trip exploring deep within the electrified psychedelic progressions and even dissonance of Squankidonk's creative depths. Rock, funk, blues, jazz, and more ripple about with influences such as Frank Zappa, Primus, Pink Floyd, King Crimson and others showing. With eight tracks featuring a powerful rhythm section highlighted by Squankidonk on six string bass. One even features special guest Joseph Wooten on keyboards, a previously unreleased track from the 2001 Universal Reversal sessions. Two tracks, including the new single "Two-Faced Twilight", feature Squankidonk performing all instruments including live acoustic drums. Capped off with a couple tracks of psychedelic sound experimentation and even a trip to some place of techno and trance with "Too Busy To Live" and "Primordial Ooze". This album spans 6 years of work (1999-2005) only to prelude the formation of the live band and future releases of Squanky Kong to come.

Warning: Due to the detailed stereo mix some tracks may have altered mix levels at lo-fi resolution resulting in shimmering and significantly reduced vocal levels. Use hi-fi samples for a more accurate representation of the true CD quality.
