ROCK: Glam, POP: Power Pop

Details:
Garage-Glam! Soho Vamp is a Hollywood-based power-pop trio. Their original songs range from catchy rock anthems to shadowy sensual ballads. Lyricist Tom Mesmer wears his heart on his glitter-encrusted sleeve. The band engages audiences with their dedication to not just the ROCK, but the SHOW!

Soho Vampâs look matches their pose as unabashed rock stars. Full make-up, high-heeled boots, silver trousers, jewelry, sequins, and nail lacquer will get the night started off right. Their sound is that hi-watt lo-fi garage din reminiscent of T.Rex, Bowie, Slade and Sweet. Itâs bubblegum-blues with a twist of pomp. Inspired by writers ranging from Oscar Wilde to Dostoyevsky, Mesmerâs lyrics can provoke themes of destiny, good and evil, and jubilation. Soho Vampâs songs âDiamondback Cadillacâ and âParasiteâ even caught the ear of horror legend Wes Craven for last summerâs hit film Red Eye. Their debut album released March 2006 has spawned another single, "Tophat Tomcat", to be featured in the soon to be released film The Breed, starring Michelle Rodriguez.
