Ray Johnson- Originally from Southeast Georgia with deep roots to all genres of music from southern rock to soul, Ray has been in New Mexico since graduating from Florida State in 1992. Playing a âlittle bit of everythingâ has helped expand his musical vision and helped him to create his own sound. Ray plays or attempts to play...trumpet, piano, upright bass, and âjust enough guitar to get him in troubleâ.

Matt Bridges- The youngest in the band and the most classically trained in music, Mattâs harmonious highs and creative riffs help give the band an added dimension. Matt also has a varied musical past and present which lends itself to his own sound. With his creativity and his multi-talented abilities Matt helps give Soulshine itâs uniqueness. Matt plays guitar, banjo, mandolin, bass and will attempt anything with strings. Matt grew up in Las Cruces, NM.

Rico âMojoâ Smith- The oldest in the band and hailing from Virgina, but by far the best looking and in the best shape, Rico keeps Soulshine kickinâ it with his own brand of creative percussion. His sound and uniqueness adds a whole other dimension to what is Soulshine. Rico can beat, stomp, or thump anything and make it sound good. He definitley has the âmojoâ. Rico plays bongos, congas, cajon and anything else he can get his hands on.
