Details:
This Hip-Hop/RnB/Lounge compilation has been produced by Sound Art which is a non-profit organization dedicated to teaching music to inner-city kids in the LA area.
When the Tsunami disaster hit South East Asia in the winter of 2004-2005, South Central youth wanted to express themselves and reach out to the South East asian kids whose lives had been affected by this tragedy. The parallel between their difficult lives and the lives ruined by this ecological disaster was a starting point for this project.
This project started in January of 2005 and was completed on June 1st...15 tracks, many hours of recording, arranging, editing later ! The album is an enhanced CD and features a 5 minute video about the making of this project.
We were lucky enough to enlist 4 Grammy Award winning mixing and mastering engineers to donate their time and make this project a truly professional endeavour.
