Sidney was born and raised in Toronto. Piano, theater, track and field, obsessions with rock gods in tight leather pants, and all those female powerhouses like Ann Wilson, Annie Lennox and Chrissy Hynde. Catching the ear of two of her idols, Peter Gabriel and Kate Bush - both of whom heard Sidney's music and were impressed enough to write a letter - was a totally mind-blowing experience! And it was that extra 'push' that got her to pack her bags and head for New York.

A few months after her arrival in New York City, Sidney's original co-written ballad "Baby Do You Wanna Make Love" was reviewed under Billboard's AC Single of the Week column. The song was also featured on All My Children.

Live gigs and recording sessions followed, with Sidney's three favorite New York musicians:

Thad Debrock: Guitar
Buster Hemphill: Bass (www.busterhemphill.com)
Keith Carlock: Drums and Percussion (www.keithcarlock.com)

These are the players on this CD.

PRESS HIGHLIGHTS:

"This New York pop ingenue clearly had a good time interpreting this pop cutie....the song will help this engaging young performer reach listeners in AC and pop sectors....have a whirl with "Baby, Do You Wanna Make Love," which cruises atop a pop beat."
Larry Flick, Billboard

"Sounding a lot like Karen Carpenter eating Bow Wow Wow's acidic candy, Sidney belts out her tunes with funky rhythms in behind....grab a cherry cola and sip it slowly while listening in order to get the full enjoyment from this Blondie-esque band."
Tammy Budgell, Indie Nation

"Good, grabby music. This girl's a winner."

Bob McAdorey, Global TV News

"I was thrilled to feature Sidney's CD in her world wide radio debut on CIUT-FM and the Internet. Judging by listener response, Sidney is destined for Top 40 success."
John Pellatt, CIUT-FM

"If Dorothy Parker were alive today, she'd probably be writing pop songs like these. Sidney's songs invite you to be part of a clever musical conversation."
John Northcott, CBC TV
