sick of bland ballads from dull singer-songwriters? Simon writes songs worth listening to.
6 MP3 Songs
POP: British Pop, ROCK: Acoustic
Details:
Simon started his musical life as a solo artist in 1995 playing the acoustic open mic clubs of London. Formed Men Are Dead in 1996 and signed to Lazy Gun Records with lyricist (and long time collaborator Rob Ramsay), synth guru Col and bassist Paul Worwood. The band released two albums 'Decoders' and 'Curious Things While Trying To Be Modern' before splitting in 2001. Simon has since released two EP's 'Let's Get Invisible' and 'All Day Breakfast' along with one full length album 'The Only Show In Town' and is currently working on a second full album which is due to be released in Autumn 2006. Simon and his band have played in Germany, France, America and Estonia as well as the UK and plan to add Japan to their list in the near future.
Simon says:
"I love playing live music, I love being good, I accept that sometimes I'm bad, I love writing songs, I love singing, I love more bands and musicians that I have time to write about on this page, I love playing the guitar, I remember almost nothing, I feel almost everything, I love my life, I love my wife, I love Rob (my songwriting partner of ten years now), I love the fact that the older I get, the less I seem to know, I hate money, I love money, I love playing the drums, I don't like some people, I love other people, I struggle with the truth, I remember almost nothing..."
Come with me, I'm just some tosser with a guitar if you don't.
