Siskiyou Summit has been a mainstay in the Pacific Northwestâs acoustic music scene since 1999. In this their second CD, the band further defines its own creative sound. Youâll hear nine original songs written by band members and a few close friends, plus a few live tracks that capture their dynamic and entertaining showmanship.

In âBreakdownâ, Siskiyou Summit explores its distictive bluegrass sound which is a mix of original and tradition songs and styles. It includes nine original songs written by band members and a few close friends, plus three live tracks that capture the bandâs dynamic and entertaining showmanship. The live segment was recorded on May 27th, 2006 at the RoxyAnne Grange in Medford by Ron Davis of A Wing And A Prayer studios in Central Point. The live version of âOrange Blossom Specialâ is particularly exciting!

The band members have decades of individual musical performance experience. Siskiyou Summit members are Jeff Jones on mandolin and Glenn Freese on guitar and Bob Evoniuk on Dobro (all formerly with the entertaining bluegrass group, Foxfire) Crystal Reeves on fiddle (formerly with the national touring acoustic group, the Robin Flower Band), Jim Calhoun on upright bass, and Rick Nelson (formerly with the Rogue Valley Bluegrass Boys) on banjo.
