RE: JOAN HARZICH-SIPICH
As a young girl Joan Harzich-Sipich regularly sang along with "Your Hit Parade," a popular television show. In fact, she'd be the first to tell you that she would rather sing than speak. She is a lifelong member of her church choir and a choral group, and she frequently performs as a soloist for weddings, special events, rallies and fund raisers. Throughout the years, she has performed on television, modeled, and appeared in commercials and various films.
Joan was crowned Ms. Illinois Senior in 1999 and was voted second runner-up in the National Senior America Pageant. Since that time she has performed in Las Vegas at the Hotel New York New York, The Imperial Palace Theatre, The Imperial Palace Kabuki Lounge, the Fremont Experience Center Stage, and the Peppermill Casino in Reno. In May, 2005, she will be performing at the legendary Chicago Theatre.
Just recently, Joan, a widow, a mother of three, and grandmother of six, has released her first CD Album, "It's Magic". In her debut album she turns to the timeless romantic jazz standards of the 1930's and '40's for your easy listening pleasure, featuring Johnny Frigo, the legendary jazz violinist. With such classics as It's Magic, Embraceable You, Birth of the Blues, As Time Goes By and How Deep Is the Ocean, Joan brings to life the genius of such renowned songwriters as Sammy Cahn, George and Ira Gershwin, Ray Henderson, Herman Hupfeld and Irving Berlin to today's audiences. Her album also includes I'm In the Mood for Love, Golden Earrings, All of Me, You'll Never Know, On A Slow Boat to China, Besame Mucho, I Don't Know Why (I Just Do), Misty, Don't Take Your Love From Me and On the Sunny Side of the Street.
Joan's album also includes the first song she has ever written, appropriately titled, It's Never Too Late!
