Details:
Simple: ânot limited or restrictedâ, Life: âproviding interest or vigorâ.
Together, Simplelife has been vigorously providing unlimited interest since being formed as an acoustic duo in 2003 with Mike Frisina and Ben Sumner.

Their overlapping musical strengths created the nucleus for a band whose genuine sound and grassroots appeal continues to attract and hold captive crowds. Simplelife performs with a jam pop groove, riffing with infectious enthusiasm, grounded with acoustic sensibilities, juiced with rock tendencies and balanced with instinctive harmonies. Simplelifeâs youthful confidence is sharpened with seasoned experience created through countless shows from coffeehouses to clubs to college campuses. Theyâve built a growing fan base and gathered generous props from memorable songs with cling-on hooks and tasty chops. In addition to solid originals, they occasionally weave an eclectic collection of compatible covers through a three-hour set, from SRV and Rufus to Guster and Sir Mixalot.

Their debut album, âLife In The Third Personâ was released with a sold-out show at the Redhouse Theatre in Syracuse and was subsequently recognized as Best Pop Album of the Year for 2005 by the Syracuse Area Music Awards (SAMMYâS). It has also generated airplay on regional radio, as well as regular rotation on KRock in Syracuse.
