This independently produced recording introduces the instrumental music of SILENT K in a special six song EP.

SILENT K draws on compositional expressions ranging from earthy blues and psychedelic rock to contemporary chamber music and electro-acoustic ambience. It's a fascinating blend of eclectic influences rooted in an honest, heartfelt approach to rhythm and musical space.

The EP opens with the cyclic arpeggio of "Wave of Perception" that floats over a solid beat and slowly looses itself in the evolving strands of melodic counterpoint. This leads into the driving rhythm of "'Twas Now" with an unusual guitar line that looks forward while staying rooted in the present. The organ slows things down in "Give Us a Lift" and draws the ear through a calmly chaotic texture toward the guitar's concluding remarks. "Devil's Kiss" evokes a quiet spaghetti western complete with rattling snakes and bleached bones lying on a dry, windswept landscape. The groove continues as piano and bass kick around town together in "I Gotta Gig Tonight".
