emotional rock with substance
8 MP3 Songs
ROCK: Modern Rock, POP: New Wave
Details:
Founded in 2002, Silent Tongue began as the solo project of songwriter Matt Durante. During the first two years of existence, Durante would write, record, and release two LPs ("Pacify the Time" [2002], "I Sold Myself to Myself" [2004]). In the summer of 2004, Silent Tongue morphed into a two-piece project with the addition of drummer and long-time friend Michael Britt. The unique skittering drum style of Britt gave Silent Tongue an eclectic rock feel, as evidenced by the 2004 EP release "Everybody's Scared of Being Vulnerable". The latter half of 2005 sees Silent Tongue releasing "The Formula of Believing", an 8 song, 24 minute record. "The Formula of Believing" addresses the concept theme of dealing with loss and makes use of drum machines and synths in addition to standard rock instrumentation.
