Indie art rock band from the Bay Area, California, with influences that range from Picasso to Noam Chomsky to at the drive-in.
8 MP3 Songs
ROCK: Modern Rock, ROCK: Roots Rock
Details:
Sin Voz started out as a project between guitarist Eliseo Cabrera and singer Daniel Santos in the fall of 2005. Using songs written by Eliseo, the duo began to perform acoustically around the UC Berkeley campus in their free time. After a few months, the duo added two more members, talented bassist and drummer Sherif Shoucri and lead guitarist Reuben Anziani. Now with two guitarists and a drummer, Sin Voz was now a full electric band. After weeks of practicing, the group performed its first show together at the Starry Plough in Berkley in April of 2006. The band performed a few more times around the Berkeley scene at co op parties and venues. In the summer however, vocalist Daniel Santos decided to part ways with the band and continue his music career elsewhere. Luckily for Sin Voz, Reuben Anziani filled the role as singer and the band continued playing around Berkeley. Paul Doucet also joined the band in the summer as the drummer, while Sherif was away studying abroad in Egypt. With the band finally settled, Sin Voz can attempt to pursue its music career.
