ROCK: Hard Rock, ROCK: Classic Rock
Details:
The Sindicate is: Austin Trujillo (vocals/bass/violin), Dan Yoder (guitar), and Kevin Nerison (drums). Founded in 2003, these friends discovered an undeniable musical chemistry which could not be overlooked. Over sixty performances later, this power trio has gone on to frequent many of Southern California's most famous (and infamous) venues, record and release their self-titled album, and inspire a dedicated fan base.
The music of The Sindicate is a ferocious style of hard rock with heavy blues connotations. The band hosts a long list of influences, firmly believing that in order to create something fresh and new, they must build on what was learned from past musical generations. Whether one is listening to their album or witnessing their exciting improvisational live show, it is clear that The Sindicate looks to give new meaning to the rock genre.
Powerful vocals, guitar solos, heavy hitting drums, and high speed fiddle jamming characterize The Sindicate's live show. The group has toured extensively throughout the Southern California region, but call Los Angeles home. Residencies including the Cat Club, Dume Room, and Club Good Hurt have made the group prominent fixtures in the LA music scene. The Sindicate's versatility and widespread appeal have enabled them to play with a variety of acts, ranging from nationally touring bands (Something Corporate) to local favorites (The Starfuckers).
The Sindicate's second release, their self titled EP, hit in the fall of 2005. The four songs on the album encompass the dynamic range of the group's sound and showcase their abilities' as studio musicians. The album, along with related merchandise, is currently being sold on the group's official website and at their live shows.
The near future will mark an exciting (and busy) time for The Sindicate. With many live appearances booked and new songs waiting to be recorded, the group looks forward to expanding into new regions and spreading the word about their unique and exciting sound.
