ABOUT THE ALBUM...
(BAR-CD004 - released December 2004) Stellar Kin redefines their sound for 12 more solid tracks, further blending indie rock into their own unique formula. The sound is a bit darker than before, but this is definitely the same Stellar Kin that won you over while touring off their 2002 release. You won't be disappointed!
Notable tracks are âNo More Shadowsâ and âThe Four Color Processâ (crowd favorites) as well as âNashvegasâ and âImportant Things (college radio favorites).
ABOUT THE BAND...
Stellar Kin has been delivering hard-hitting performances since their debut release on Bad Apple Records in 2002. Constantly refining indie rock with each individual member's distinct influences, drawing mostly from the early days of emo, punk, and hardcore.
With such a variety of influences, Stellar Kin has made friends and fans while sharing stages with a respectively diverse ensemble of artists such as De Novo Dahl (Theory 8 Records), Joy Electric (Tooth & Nail), Pedro the Lion (Jade Tree), or The Redemption Song (Facedown/Strikefirst Records). SK was also invited to perform an opening set for the Rise of the Robots tour in 2005 which featured Flicker Records performing artists Mortal Treason and Staple with Mono vs Stereo performing artists Chasing Victory and The Showdown.
Stellar Kin has most recently been asked to participate at Cornerstone 2006 in Bushnell, IL this summer. They will be performing with their label mates Why They Came on the prestigious Decapolis Label Showcase stage with bands representing record labels like Velvet Blue, Dollhouse, The Record Machine, Harvest Earth, & Tooth and Nail.
