May 2006 Jeremy Steinbring, high school junior, releases his first CD of 10 original recordings. Already sporting a large local following in central Massachusetts Jeremy hopes to gain broad regional exposure as he looks to notable college programs to expand his musical skills.
Jeremy began playing piano by ear at the age of 5 and took drum lessons in elementary school. A door exploded wide open in 1998 when his parents bought him his first acoustic guitar. After taking a few lessons it became clear that Jeremy was serious about music. By his 12th birthday Jeremy added electric guitar to his repertoire. Then before his freshman year of high school Jeremy had expanded his talents to writing music & lyrics and had found his voice.
The angst and turmoil of high school has provided much in the way of lyrical material. The greats like Clapton, Ray Vaughn, Van Halen & Lennon provided the guitar God inspiration. All the while super groups & talents like Pink Floyd, Guns N Roses, Nirvana, Queen, U2 and the Beatles rounded out his musical aspirations.
Jeremy's acoustic mellow side likens to Dave Matthews, CSNY and John Mayer. While his rocking arrangements are unique with sounds similar to Green Day and Pearl Jam.
Jeremy is an artist whose talent for writing lyrics is equally matched by his bluesy guitar licks. Jeremy plays all of the instruments on his first CD including acoustic & electric guitar, bass, drums & piano. Jeremy composed all music & lyrics as well as providing the vocals. Self taught to record he laid down all individual tracks in his home studio and provided the style experimenting through to the finished mixed product. Having recently added both bass & harmonica to his instrumentation he has achieved his journey to be the One Man Show in this premier CD.
It's likely this CD won't be the last we hear from Jeremy Steinbring.
