Stephen Covell just recently started talking about himself in the 3rd person and has found it to be quite ineffective at getting people to believe he actually has a publicist doing this bio for him.

For those of you who share my dislike of pretense, I offer you an album full of songs that come from that warm fuzzy spot that we all share. Some peoples spot is oversized (tree hugging hippies) and some peoples spot is sorely lacking in volume (baby seal clubbers), I have found a happy medium, and I hope you will too.

I'm 23 years old, born and raised on the central coast of California so what else could I sing about but the questions of growing up and getting to know myself and the people in my life? I didn't come up in the hood, and my parents are still happily married, so I don't really have anything whine about.

What I offer you is a departure from the usual, a telling of the same stories but in a new light. What I do not offer is distortion, screaming or endlessly repeated hook lines, if that is your taste I'm sure MTV has you covered.

We live in an era where musicianship has taken a backseat to technology, and I enjoy doing my part to reverse the trend.
