Canadian musicians Mel Gargus (Guitar & Bass) and Richard Thurlbeck (Drums & Percussion) started thinking of a recording career long before they ever knew each other. After a chance meeting in High School in the 70's these two musician were destined to work together.

They both went on to study at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology getting degree's in Electronic Engineering to help polish their technical skills. They both started working at CBC before Richard went over to CTV.

After working in the Media for two decades on music, sports and documentary productions the boys decided it was time to give the world taste of their guitar based rock enthusiasm called Stratomaster.

Much of the album is instrumental with sizzling guitar work from Mel with his trusty strat. The few vocals songs included are sung by dearly departed Frank Juskiw or vocal sensation Arne Christensen. While it was sad loosing such a talented singer (Frank) at such a young age it is a wonderful opportunity that we can bring you two more of Franks great vocal tracks, that will live on forever.
