BLUES: Acoustic Blues, FOLK: Folk Blues
Details:
This is a collection of 12 original songs that I made into this album (my first) in 2002. The songs were written in a twelve year period starting in 1990, when I wrote "Captain Nemo"(track 3). This is a true account of how I almost drowned in the Hudson River when I was a kid. "Sailin" is also a Hudson River song. "Cheyenne Girl" is a song with a sort of OLd West theme I wrote a number of years ago. "You Need Love" is a fun rock-and-roll tune. "Cecilia's Song" is an ode to my beatiful niece Cecilia. "There's No Prison" tries to deliver a hopful message about the progress of humanity. "Right Where You Want Me" is a song about a girl I worked with once that I fancied. "This Old Mountain" is a song about Storm King Mountain near my home town of Cornwall-on-Hudson, N.Y. "Trash Day" is a melancholy piece about watching my mom chuck my old toys.
"Blues So Bad" and "Junk Car Blues" are fun blues tunes.
"Tennessee Rambler" is a rolliking intrumental. Enjoy.
