Iâm not sure why God passes out gifts and talents to his children the way that he does, but by the age of 14, I played the drums, saxophone, piano, had written my first song, and performed before an audience of more than 1000 people.
Growing up I could often be found in my room listening to the soulful sounds of Stevie Wonder, the awesome orchestration of Quincy Jones, or the funky bass lines and flaming horn riffs of Earth Wind and Fire. Admiring their style I would often daydream of making music move through the air causing people to sway their bodies and tap their toes.
I took this desire with me as I enrolled into University of Puget Sound, in Tacoma Washington, where for the first time I took formal lessons to further develop my gifts. It is while at Puget Sound, that I first tasted Jazz, Opera, Classical orchestration and instrumentation in their truest forms. My passion was lit and I knew that my destiny was in the music industry.
But destiny has a way of disguising herself and I was lead away on numerous adventures, from New York to Paris France I pursued after her, until I finally acknowledged that destiny was within me all along.
The CD project that you are about to invest in is completely me, from creation to performance. It comes through many hours of joy and pain, and I donât mean to sound superstitious, but the joint will be jumpin from track 1 to 14.
So without further ado, I introduce to you, hours of listening pleasure as I open myself up and allow you to sample, âThe Music 'N' Meâ.
