Details:
In 1990 I discovered the necessity to write poetry. Nine years later I bought a 73' Gretsch Broadcaster guitar and began crafting my poetry to music. After a few years of singing and playing in various unknown bands I went solo and began playing the local coffee house circuit. In the spring of 2004 I wrote "I Love You" that was released on Interstate Music Store's Compilation CD. This included a release showcase at Casio Music store New Berlin, WI.
Among playing with various line ups I am currently studying Multimedia Digital Arts and Music at UWW. My website www.stonethepoet.com was a project I created for one of my classes. Stone the Poet then became my musical, artistic and poetic persona.
Stone the Poet has played various large and small venues including Summerfest in Milwaukee, WI, Hogs and Kisses Music Club in Lake Geneva, WI and opening for Michael Glabicki founder and frontman of Rusted Root at Big Eâs Beach Club in Edgerton, Wi.
