He has performed with many world renowned artists such as Danny Glover, Ed Kelly, Pharaoh Saunders, The whispers, Richard Dimples Fields, tenor sax man James Carraway, guitarist Larry White and many more.

This is Stan's firsts CD, long awaited by his peers. Blue Fire is one of the hottest CD's that has featured a flutists. It is packed with ten wonderful creations by Mr. Booker. It has funk, jazz, soul, rock, Advangard, there is literally something for everyone of every music taste. The challenge of being an artist in the city is can be a daunting one with all the social problems in around the neighborhood in the commons of Oakland. Stan played the tenor Sax and switched over to the flute because it had a wonderful angelic sound. Influenced heavily by Herbie Mann, Hubert Laws and Paul Horn. It was extremely challenging growing up in the streets of Oakland going to Roosevelt Jr. High and Oakland High, where playing an instrument like the flute was not popular as the electric bass, guitar, sax and piano. Yet it was a means of his artist _expression which was deep with in. Along with being heavily influenced by James Brown allowed him to give the flute a unique fusion of Jazz, R&B and soul. It has drive, it has rock with a jazz flavor complemented by mellow string arrangements and voices in the background. Blue Fire truly has something for everyone. For party people or to just sit back in your easy chair and enjoy, relax or meditate. Just take a mental journey with Stan B. as he shares his transformation of music with his unique style of playing.

Stan B. has been described by many of his peers as the jazz soul man on flute, with his African American Blackfoot Indian roots, and growing up in Oakland, you can't help but but jump to your feet and be moved by Stan B's smooth sweet and funky sounds.

In creating songs, Stan B starts with the mode, that is the beat the pulses through the song. Set to the drum tracks is a firm bass line that further exploits the desired goal of the song. From this comes the piano arrangements that seem to be called for the foundation thus far laid. Then from this bed of rhythm, sounds and feelings is Stan's inspired flute melodies and soulful outbursts and _expression that come from deep, deep origins. Added to this is the strings which bring the songs to there peak.

Also featured on the CD is L. G. White of Urban Dreams who has played with groups such as the Whispers, Al Green, and the crusaders to Orchestras such as the Oakland Symphony. Dickie Lacy who also played with Stan B. in a musical big time buck with Danny Glover is featured on keyboards. The titles to the songs are also made with a lot of feeling and thought as each song sounds like its title they come from life experiences. For example, the songs "Chasing a Dream". Some may feel that the arts is like chasing a dream that's unatainable but Stan's profound feeling is that those who continue to chase there dreams are the ones most likely to catch them. The choice to make this an instrumental was an artistic endeavor to create a sound that is different form other contempory artists. Stan wanted to convey a vision of beauty in a world that is filled with turmoil, greed, and suffering. He hopes to convey that a better world is possible. Now this is a dream worth pursuing! It took Stan about a year and a half to complete the project. He knew it would take time to express what was in his heart and soul. The results are stupendous.
