Great combo of melody + balls.
14 MP3 Songs
ROCK: Modern Rock, ROCK: Grunge
Details:
Generally considered one of the best bands out of Montreal, Stone Dogs release Crush, their first album, after selling over 5000 copies of their three demos, released between 1999 and 2002. Formed in 1998, the band grew their fanbase by playing Montreal area clubs and getting their music played on hundreds of radio stations across North America and Europe, and on American television. A critic once called Stone Dogs' music a "great combo of melody + balls", and the fourteen original tracks found on Crush fit the description perfectly. Pop gems soaked in distortion such as 'Tuesday Girl' and 'Hate Song' can be found alongside the more aggressive 'Revolver' and 'Everfly', with some quieter moments here and there like the short but mesmerizing 'Something Wrong', or the stripped down beauty of 'Sister Pain', which closes the album with just voice, guitar and a string quartet.
