indie funk rock
11 MP3 Songs
ELECTRONIC: Pop Crossover, ELECTRONIC: Funk
Details:
This is electronic indie pop with pseudo funk and jazz influences, based in Austin, Texas. Most of these songs were composed (or retro-fitted) last summer for a post dystopian sci-fi musical. Parts of the show were composed in hotel rooms during family hospital visits and an eventual funeral. After the show had run its course, STHIL was formed as an electronic pair. Shows attempt to incorporate self written VSTs, octopads and dubbed out vocals. Live covers range from the Boards of Canada to a cappella Misfits. The most recent side project is the electro indie space rock project called IRDBISA (Itâs raining dead bodies in space again).
STHIL is made up of former members/contributors of CTRL (http://cdbaby.com/cd/ctrl) and the Low Technicians (http://cdbaby.com/cd/alphacon2).
