Born to a musical family in northern Minnesota, Darren has been performing and composing since the age of 5. After an outstanding college career that included a Bachelor's degree and a tour of Spain, Darren joined renowned violinist Malcolm Watson in the classical duo, "Watson & Co". Touring with Mr. Watson for 2 years, the duo produced the immensely popular "Catharsis Infinity" CD. In 1995, Darren struck out to pursue his own musical vision.

An entrepreneur at heart, Darren started the acoustic label, Colorado Creative Music and is currently its musical visionary and business mind. He has performed in venues from New York to San Francisco, Miami to Fargo. He has composed over 200 pieces of music and is as comfortable with Bach and Beethoven as he is with the wonderful Spanish guitar.
