Influence Edge is a melodically driven guitar instrumental by Geoff Swartz.
10 MP3 Songs
ROCK: Instrumental Rock, METAL: 90's Metal
Details:
Geoff started playing violin at age 3 and was taught for 15 years to play by ear. When he was 18, a friend let him borrow a guitar. He took his knowledge of classical music, a few guitar magazines and all of his metal tapes to figure out how to play.
After playing with a local christian band for a couple of years, Geoff dropped out of college and moved to Nashville to pursue music. Not long after moving, he got the chance to go on the road full time with a group that worked public schools. He played 2-3 shows daily throughout the school year all across the eastern and southeastern U.S. before thousands of kids.
After a couple of years of touring, Geoff found the love of his life, Becki. They soon got hitched and moved back to Geoff's hometown of Canton, OH. Since moving back home, Geoff has played on the worship team at his church, High Mill, for a few years.
Along with his classical roots, Geoff has been influenced by players like Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Tony Palacios (who he studied with while in Nashville) and plenty of late 80s/early 90s guitar heros.
