Armin Bestel and Stephen Shannon originally played in a band called âthe Big Blue Circleâ back in the early to mid-eighties. The band broke up 1987 and eventually Armin and Stephen eventually lost touch with each other until recently when they formed a band with other Portland area musicians called âthe Monday Saintsâ in 2004. As their new band was trying to find its own sound, Armin and Stephen began working on a side project that became âSworn on the Relics.â

Armin Bestel has played in several Portland area bands including: Sing, Sing, Sleepwalker; Big House; Ray; Kentucky Rules; the Big, Blue, Circle (BBC); and the Monday Saints.

Stephen Shannon has also played in several Portland area bands including: the Principle; the Will Robinsons; Dead Heir; Tootles the Monkey; the Big, Blue, Circle (BBC); and the Monday Saints.

Sworn on the Relics has released its first CD, titled âResurgence,â in February 2006. It gives the listener insight into the psychedelic and gothic side of Bestel and Shannonâs music. It is best just to lie on your back, stare at the ceiling, and listen to the music over and over
