Passionate, hopeful piano music. The music on this CD reflects a rich inner life: it is from the heart, quiet, gentle, melodic sounds interspersed with strength and the dissonance representing the chaos which is part of all our lives.
8 MP3 Songs
CLASSICAL: Contemporary, EASY LISTENING: Mood Music
Details:
Connie Schroeder began writing simple songs on guitar when she was 14. Her passions are Spirituality, Creativity and Music. On any given day you will find her at the piano, sometimes composing or practicing, often just playing for fun; on the computer writing essays and poetry; dreaming up new ideas; nurturing friendships; walking the dog; cooking up healthy concoctions; exercising at the pool; meditating or spending quality time with her life partner, Margaret. She has a BA in Educational Services and a Master of Divinity. (yep, she even does some preaching once in a while.)
Comments about Wilderness Blooms:
Spirit needs no words other than the language of music. I had the privilege of sitting in the studio during the creation of this c.d. With no music on the piano before her, Connie surrendered to Spirit's creativity within, and the music flowed. And as you listen... through the intense, passionate moments to the heart stopping quiet reflective ones... that same Spirit, I am certain, will open your heart to gifts "full of fragrant possibility". Thank you, Connie for listening to Spirit's prompting in the music, and for sharing your gifts with us.
Susan J. Thompson, Minister

I hear your heart and soul...simply beautiful! Cindy Foster
Many thanks for your beautiful compact disk, which Suzannah and I have played repeatedly and with much pleasure...and as the author of a book called The Divine Feminine: Biblical Imagery of God as Female, of course I am attracted to "The Weaver." As for the grand old hymns in your fine new arrangement, they have a profound resonance that for me will never die.
Dr. Virginia Ramey Mollenkott, author
Wilderness Blooms
Love seems such a tender thing
but knowing us
I also know its power to survive
to dance upon the face of things
turned dark with howling winds
tossing the soft petals of dreams
peeling back the green and growing
parts of us, until we think perhaps
that all is lost, and still we dance
losing ourselves to the vast unknown
and morning dawns, with clear and joyful song
as bees find nectar
and with astonishment,
we find ourselves again
God's colors splashed around us
wilderness blooms
and drawing back our strength
from warmth and light
the storms another lifetime
and this one full
of fragrant possibility
