Chelo Segui was born in Cordoba Argentina , 1967.
This new project, âFrom Now Onâ, shows Chelo composing producing and performing. It was recorded and mixed at the prestigious CATA studios in Madrid along with his all time friends and fellow musicians Juan Cruz Penaloza (piano), Martin Bruhn (drums) and Jose Gomez (bass). It also features Obi Homer (guitar) and Chicho Bazan (percussions)
âFrom Now Onâ is a journey through some of the Argentinean folkloric and ethnic rythms, like chacarera, baguala, cueca, and new tango, in a mainly modal harmonic context, influenced also by the spirit of jazz improvisation .
