-TAXI Music Review
"Lots of unexpected, yet welcome twists to the melody."
-A&R Reviews
"Project" is an independent CD release of Peter Sciaino's music that has received praise for it's writing ("compelling"), production ("a clean, present, close-to-the-listener quality"), and performance ("stand out"). The recording is made up of a variety of small group settings for mixed instrumentation with expressive and free soundscapes. The musicians taking part in this project are close friends which gives the album a very true and thoughtful vibe.
Jeff Kunkel's piano playing on the recording has drawn accolades for it's "tasty voicing and accompaniment." Peter McCullough "does a great job anchoring the ensemble" while percussionist Mike Advensky's "swirling quality to his approach is highly appealing." The performances are "a nice balance of the consonant and dissonant, the expected and the unexpected."
