Each of us in the band loves the Blues â I guess itâs one of the things that brought us together. Graham Cleveland, my guitarist and partner, on electric guitar, has aspired to play like the greats since his early teenage days of band life. I on the other hand came to the Blues later when I stumbled into America from England, eyes wide open and ready to learn. Chicago was my first introduction; a Blues bar in the heart of the city. I was watching an unknown band, at least they were unknown to me, but either way it was my revelation.

So we recorded this track in one. No separate lying down of parts, no extensive effects added to the finished product. Grahamâs tone came from his fabulous Fender Blues Junior amp, a Jeff Beck Fender Strat, and great hands! And for me, well, I had the tail end of a cold at the time and worried that my vocals would be pants! But for all of us we knew the vibe in the room was great. It was one of those moments when it just happenedâ¦
