Details:
what is screaming bald ego??? nobody's really sure. but what is known is that this all started one spring morning in 2003 over a cup of coffee at maisie's (arguably the worlds finest diner) in old hickory, tennessee. for some unknown reason these guys wanted to be the next big duo in the musical world...so why the three heads on the cover, you might ask----we will get to that later.
let me digress. bob hatter and tony paoletta wanted to do a project of original songs. growing up in the midwest lent itself to many diverse musical influences. from rock and roll to dyed in the wool country, story telling and even cleveland style polkas---a veritable cornucopia if you will.
bob and tony needed a vehicle to get their songs to the masses. since they are both recording musicians in nashville, they have many friends in the area that are the finest recording and touring musicians in the world.
oh! yeah! the third head. that's eddie klancnik. musician/studio owner. [listening to eddie(four string banjo) and his dad, gaylord(accordian) jam is an amazing sight.....world class].
bob and tony set up a breakfast meeting with ed at (you guessed it) maisie's diner to discuss their plan. ed was all for it. within a month recording began-----a rocker, feed the pain written by bob, tony, and william ellis(aka: pants) was recorded.....and so it began. this is the culmination of their efforts...

enjoy

ego-- the beginning of the journey.
long green--the quest for the almighty dollar.
blindside--look out behind you, when you least expect it!
back in the day..where do you go when the system decides to
shut you down?? they can't take the memories.
she's so mary--this started out as an instrumental...turned into
dreaming about mary--the waitress at maisie's.
i find love--a love song.
old hickory hop--a little ditty that ed a tony wrote and
recorded one evening this past winter. .
feed the pain--three vignettes about the demons inside us
all---and what happens when they come out. .
after the fall--a country song about love gone bad. thank
you, thank you, thank you, jeannie seely for saving this song.
meltdown--an ed klancnik tour de force---enough said.
lenny, nick and joe--three brothers that left italy in the 30's---
seeking fame and fortune in america. .
camille--the woman that lenny met in time square-1943-while
bowling......growing up in jersey, she and her brother jim
would sing on the radio--her brother lou was a friend of
frank sinatra--frank told her that singing was a hard life--
she married lenny and had four children. that had to be
harder. her singing was always heard around the house.
she died on october 22, 1991.....always missing her!

sos polka--ed kept telling bob and tony that if they wrote a
polka, his dad would record it. they got together at the
kitchen korner and started the music. jeff lewis added the
lyrics and gaylord klancnik added the magic.
alter ego--fine.
