"Wonderful to hear a female really capture this traditional delta blues genre. Well done. I love your harmonica work, very unique, expressive and passionate. Your vocal work has the same elements. I love the lyrics, with the traditional form and yet fresh approaches to the style." --TAXI Review

"I love the line 'if I ever get to heaven, I'll have the blues in paradise'. Fun overall ride." -- TAXI Review

"I remember the first time I heard St. James Infirmary. I must have been seven or eight. The TV was on one and someone, I swear it was Billie Holliday, came on and sang 'St. James' and I was blown away. I told myself right at that moment, 'That's what I want to do.' Something about the pain and emotion in it just reached in and grabbed me." -- Beth Scalet
